In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel school is made as early as possible. Unfortunately, the timing of any given storm is impossible to control and weather forecasts are often unreliable. Every effort is made to arrive at a timely and prudent decision with the available information.
Once the decision is made to close schools, the Parentlink automated calling system is immediately engaged so that parents, students and staff can plan accordingly. In the event Parentlink does not reach all intended recipients or you miss a Parentlink automated call, all local television stations and radio stations are also informed of District closings. Some stations relay school closings in a timelier manner than others, so parents may want to check more than one station for the most up-to-date information. Closing information will also be available on the District home page.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL YOUR SCHOOL OFFICE TO ASK IF SCHOOL IS CANCELED.
Your patience and cooperation in dealing with the unpredictable Wisconsin weather is appreciated.
